South Yard Mural
Completed in the south yard in May of 2024. The project was led by Mrs. Aznar from the LJA Art department and involved students from Art Concentration and some art classes. In collaboration with Atelier Nayan, we were able to create a stunning mural for current and future students to enjoy. Congratulations to Mrs. Aznar and all the students who participated in this project. The inspiration come from the Abenaki story of Gluskabi and the Wind. The Abenakis were the First Nations people settled in Quebec at the time of New France. They were hunters who cared deeply about the natural environment. Hunted animals had spirits that they had to honor if they wanted to capture game. Gluskabi is one of the many characters within the Abenaki mythology.
